The Much Publicised Trial Of R&B Legend R. Kelly Is Over, He Has Been Found NOT GUILTY On 7 Of The 14 Charges & The Trial Acquitted.
The 14 charges against the singer were all regarding a video tape which allegedly showed Kells having sex with an under-age girl. There has been very conflicting evidence in the trial, with half the girl's family confirming it was her & the other half denying it.
At the 'end of play' on Friday afternoon, R. Kelly was cleared on the first 7 charges, & the trial was officially acquitted - check out the report below from the Associated Press:
Singer R. Kelly has been found not guilty on the first 7 of 14 counts at a child pornography trial. The jury deliberated less than a day...I have always assumed that Kells was guilty, the guy has gives me the creeps & let's remember that her has married a 15 Y/O girl by the name of Aaliyah! However, I am all for justice, & I think the matter should be laid to rest so Kelly can return to making proper music, not T-Pain rip-off tracks....The jury — nine men and three women — was given the case Thursday.
The key question for the jurors was whether they believe it was Kelly in the video, as prosecutors contend. Kelly's attorneys say it wasn't him.
