The Controversially Self-Titled "Best Rapper Alive", Lil Wayne, Is Set To Break This Years Sales Records In The USA.
According to the mighty Billboard, Tha Carter III may have a chance to hit the magic million sales mark before the week is out, the last album to achieve this esteemed title was 50 Cent's 'The Massacre', back in 2005.
As of Wednesday night, Wayne's near-masterpiece had reached 630,000 copies, the last time any album was that strong at mid week, was the much publicised 'Graduation' by Kanye West. Bear in mind that Kanye's offering was probably the most hyped album of the year, while Wayne is almost unknown in the mainstream market.
This is an amazing achievement for such a talented artist, Tha Carter III stands as my album of the year so far, it's mix of gritty Hip-Hop with radio ready hits is almost a classic. If you haven't coped Wayne's album yet, please grab a copy over the weekend, so he can reach that magic Million.

Why haven't I bought Tha Carter III?? Because I'm still bumping Carter I and II, when Weezy was still rhyming for real. Lil Wayne FELL THE FUCK OFF and I don't care what anybody says. Yeah he's more popular, but lyrically he's saying some of the dumbest shit I have ever heard from someone so talented. Go listen to Tha Mobb from Carter II, or BMJR from Carter I and tell me his style hasn't fucking changed to appeal to the masses more. The only song on Carter III that is reminiscent of his old style is Mr. Carter, and that even is a little different.
