The Newest Video From Common For His Song Announcement Featuring Pharrell Williams, Off Of His 8th Studio Album, Invincible Summer.
To be honest, there is not much that Common can do wrong. He usually has some of the best lyrics over some of the best beats, however, he always seems to find himself on the underrated side of the music game. His newest video for his song Announcement featuring Pharrell, is another example of why Common can flow.
The only thing I don't like in the video for Announcement is the dancers. Common hasn't had choreographed dancing as a major part in any of his videos, so why start now? It just seemed a little out of place and unusual. Other than that I think the drawing theme of the video makes it pretty cool and interesting.
As far as the song goes, of course Common is going to have some of the best lyrics. Common's lyrics make people have to stop and think in order to understand what he is saying and what is going on. Pharrell as usual comes in and does his thing, even though I don't know what gives him the right to rap just because he made some tight beats. Overall, Announcement is a pretty good song, but I hope it isn't the best from the album.
