Shareefa Is Back, With A Hot New Single - On Fire Is Taken From Her New Sophomore Album - The Black Dahlia.
Personally I thought that this girl was long gone, after some good, but unsuccessful tracks from a year or two ago, she just seemed to disappear. But Ludacris has kept her signed to his Disturbing Tha Peace label & seems to have done a good job with her.
I really like this track, it's up-tempo production has been used to great effect to enable Shareefa to 'flow' perfectly with the track. This girl has some really good vocals & has that Mary J Blige feel to her. If the other tracks on her album match up like this one, I think it will make a big impact.
On a side note, I don't think that Jadakiss really adds much to the track, I don't like the fact that every R&B record now needs a generic rap verse in it to make it acceptable.

"Kanye West - Hey Mama" (Grammy Mix)
Source - Chris-Pix
For Those Who Saw The Emotional Performance By Kanye West At This Years Grammy Awards, Here Is The Studio Version Of His Rendition Of Hey Mama.
The song obviously means a lot to Kanye, after the recent passing of his mother, but to be fair, it doesn't match up to the original IMO. Hey Mama was one of my favourites from Late Registration, but if this version was on the alum, I don't think I would have been so enthusiastic about it.

Danity Kane - Welcome To The Dollhouse (Album Cover)
Here Is The Official Album Cover For Danity Kane's New Album - Welcome To The Dollhouse.
About the cover, I like it, they are obviously 'showing off their assets', but if you have got it, flaunt it I suppose. But, on the title, I don't like like it, we all know that Diddy is moulding these girls to compete with The Pussycat Dolls, who are the leaders of the girl group market. Still, they could have been a little more subtle about it.

Kanye West - Grammy Awards 2008
My Number #1 Highlight From This Years Grammy Awards, Was Definitely This Outstanding Performance From The Great Show-Man; Mr Kanye West.
Kanye performed his recent smash hit - Stronger - as well as a special rendition of - Hey Mama - which was obviously dedicated to his recently deceased mother; Doctor Donda West. It is so good to see that Kanye remained true to the sample he used in Stronger, sticking to the futuristic theme of Daft Punks original.
West was totally on form with this one, he looked so fly with those glasses & filled his performance with a huge amount of energy. If you missed the Grammy show, you need to see this, summed up in one word - P-H-E-N-O-M-E-N-A-L.

Mariah Carey On Set - "Touch My Body"
Source - Thatgrapejuice
Here Is A Pretty Random Shot Of Mariah Carey Shooting The Video For Touch My Body.
The track looks as though it is going to be HUGE, although I was not feeling it at first, it's starting to grow on me, but I still think that it's not quite there vocally or lyrically.
Mariah is pictured here with director Brett Ratner & actor Jack McBrayer, Carey looks great as always. I can't wait to see the video, it might get me to like the track a little more.
"Kanye West ft. Dwele - Flashing Lights" (Video)
Here Is The Official Video (or part of it, I'm not sure) For Kanye West's Latest US Single - Flashing Lights.
I feel this is one of the best tracks Kanye has ever made, it's atmospheric beats, match perfectly with West's slow rhythmic flow. You can really 'feel' Kanye on Flashing Lights, it's a shame it wasn't used as a world single, whose decision was that? The added vocals of Dwele, make for a possible classic hit.
My honest reaction to the video was; 'hmmm', that was the only thing I could think of. I really like it, & I'm sure Kanye is trying to say something, but I can't think what it is. Still, a sexy killer of a woman is always a good thing.

The Grammy's 2008 - Highlights
Although It Took Place Last Weekend, People Are Still Talking About The Grammy's, & I Feel That It Was The Best Show In Years.

Mark Ronson Accepts His Award For
Producer Of The Year. Where's Timbo at?
"Teyana Taylor - Google Me"
Source - Chris-Pix
Teyana Taylor Is The Brand New Pet Project From Super Producer; Pharrell Williams.
Her debut effort - Google Me - is actually produced by Jazze Pha, not Pharrell, although she is signed to his Star Trak record label. It is a radio friendly track with some nice production & very good vocal quality, remember this girl is only 17.
The song is only flawed by the seriously crappy lyrics & the weird subject matter as a title, no one can make search engines sound cool. I think that this is a fatal error that will put people off the single quite a lot, which is a shame, because this artist actually seems genuinely talented.

Amy Winehouse - Grammy Awards 2008
A Top moment Of This Years Grammy Awards Was Undoubtedly The 'Comeback' Performance From Amy Winehouse.
After he well publicised trip into rehab, plus the fact that her Visa arrived too late for her to perform on location. It was fantastic to see Amy perform for the awards, she definitely represented for us in the UK. She was on fire & was really energetic, hopefully through excitement rather than drugs. lol.
Amy performed two of her recent hits - I'm No Good & the relevantly titled Rehab - both renditions were great, Winehouse was on top of her vocals for the most part & really gave off a good vibe. She seemed genuinely excited at receiving her 5 Grammy Awards! I really hope this is the turning point in her life & that she will soon be on track for another great album.
"Mariah Carey - Touch My Body"
FINALLY! The Debut Single From Mariah Carey's New Album - E=MC2 - Has Emerged.
Touch My Body is both written & produced by Tricky Stewart & The-Dream, & considering I have been anticipating this for so long, I am a little underwhelmed. To quote the Simpsons - it's all a bit 'Meh' - don't get me wrong, it's catchy, hot, & has that Mariah feel to it, but it just sounds a bit like an album track.
Where was my club-banger? I was expecting someone to be shouting 'Mariah's Back', some hot JD beats & some signature Mariah vocals. For me, Touch My Body hasn't quite delivered the way I was expecting it to, it's very good, but I suppose I was looking for perfection?

Rihanna Continues Her World Domination With Yet Another Magazine Cover, This Time She Is Featured In Cosmopolitan.
Rihanna is always impeccably dressed, I'm not sure if it's all the stylists, or whether she helps choose her outfits. Whoever is responsible, they need some sort of pay rise!
