"Right Now (Remix) - Akon feat. Kat DeLuna"

Akon Teams Up With Kat DeLuna To Make Remix Of Akon's Hit Right Now Off His Album Freedom

Akon is not exactly my favorite singer, but I do like his new song Right Now, and the remix for it with Kat DeLuna is very nice. The original Right Now will be featured on Akon's upcoming album Freedom, while the remix teams up with DeLuna who is on Akon's label Konvict Muzik.

I think DeLuna is really what makes the remix what it is. She can actually sing and kind of reminds me a little bit of Leona Lewis. The lyrics are solid and don't really strike me as cheesy or anything, and even at some parts of the song are catchy. The beat starts out slow and then gets upbeat (just like the original), which makes for a song that can be easily danced to. Overall, Akon and Kat really team up and work well to make a solid remix of Right Now.

"Akon ft. Lil Wayne - I'm So Paid"

Here Is Some Brand New Stuff From Akon. I'm So Paid Is Akon's Supposed New Single, Featuring Accomplished Rap Artist Lil Wayne, Coming Off His Soon To Be Released Album, Freedom (originally called Acquited).

This tune has really brought back Akon, who I thought had lost his chart-topping X factor after the release of his last album. But this single has now got me looking forward to his new one, which is set to be released on November 25th.

Akon's lyrics are pretty basic and simple, but the way he incorporates his vocals with the lyrics, will send this tune to the top of the charts soon enough. And of course, Lil Wayne makes this song 10 times better, just by featuring in it. A must have for all Akon and Weezy fans.

Akon Faces Charges For Assualt On Teenage Boy

Radio Hit Junkie Akon Faces Assault Charges After His 'Fan-Throwing Incident' At A Concert Last Year.

Akon has pleaded not guilty to the charges. I saw the video did anyone else? He definitely threw him off stage whether it was joke or not I don't know. 2007 was a YEAR for Akon. Who remembers the bump 'n' grind with the Pastor's teenage daughter at a concert last May? Too funny!

"Keri Hilson - Mic Check"

New Keri Hilson Track Featuring Akon, Off Her Début CD "In a Perfect World..." "Mic Check" Is Production Heaven From Timbaland.

Keri Hilson is so good for so many reasons, not only is she very nice to look at, she is also pretty talented. After being on tracks such as Xzibit's "Mean Muggin" and Timbaland's "The Way I Are," Hilson is starting to make a name on her own. After her first single "Energy" and appearing on Nas' "Hero" off his latest album, Hilson is gaining some momentum.

I wasn't too big of a fan of "Energy," but the beat on "Mic Check" is what caught my attention. The bass heavy beat produced by Timbaland works well with Hilson's voice and lyrics. She reminds me a lot of Mary J. Blige in the way that she puts emotions into her lyrics and her vocals. Akon's appearance on the song is nothing special. His verse if fairly weak and feels like he phoned it in.

"Whitney Houston ft. Akon - Like I Never Left"

Finally, Here Is Some New Material From The Supernatural Whitney Houston. Like I Never Left Is A Mid-Tempo Cut Featuring Akon.

Whitney fans, please don't shoot me down when I say that this track is mediocre, it feels like a standard Akon production, which simply is not good enough for Whitney. I don't see Like I Never Left making her comeback album, I see it more as a 'street single' to test the water with critics.

The track is an obvious apology to Whitney's friends & fans for her behaviour in the past, I see the point & I'm sure hardcore fans never lost faith. I'm sooo glad this legend is back in the game, but if she wants critical acclaim, she needs a masterpiece, not an OK Akon track... Come On, I'm Not Wrong?

"Akon - Right Now (Na Na Na)"

Here Is Another New Track That Has Leaked From Serial Hit Maker Akon. Right Now Is Supposedly From His Forthcoming Album - Acquitted.

Right Now is very much a change in direction for the Hip-Pop artist, Akon seems to have gone down the Ne-Yo path & followed the European dance feel with both the lyrics & production. While this isn't lyrically strong, it does have a real catchy feel to it, I can totally see people jamming to this in a club.

It makes me feel dirty on the inside to say it, but I have really liked almost every new song I have heard from Akon's album, from the Michael Jackson assisted Hold My Hand to this great little dance track. Everything has been pretty solid, good stuff!

"Akon & Michael Jackson - Hold My Hand"

Hold Tight! Here Is The Rumoured New Single From Akon Or Michael Jackson. Hold My Hand Is A Slow Jam Of Epic, Cheesy Proportions.

How many hundreds of artists over the last 12 months have uttered the words "I'm Working On The New Michael Jackson Record"? Well Akon is one producer who has officially done so & by the sound of this record, MJ might, just might, have rekindled that old magic.

From the solid R&B production, to the brilliantly harmonised vocals of both Akon & Michael, Hold My Hand has that classic Jackson sound. Granted, it is not the greatest track I have ever heard, but I am honestly excited for the Michael comeback.

"Akon - Clap Again"

Not Sure Of It's Origins, But Here Is A New Track That Has Surfaced From Hip-Pop Heavyweight - Akon. The Song Is Entitled Clap Again & Is Actually Half Decent!

Clap Again follows the standard Akon formula, that has never steered him wrong before, nice production, catchy hook & some mediocre versus. Still, I am liking this new track, Akon hits the rhythm on-point, the hook is catchy as ever & the dark production really knocks.

Akon is working on his next album - Acquitted, if this is the calibre of songs that we can expect, maybe things are looking a little more 'respectable' for Akon's future. Remember I said a 'little'.

"Sean Garrett ft. Akon - Come On In"

After The Flop That Was Grippin' - Sean Garrett Is Determined To Continue With His Album Effort - Turbo 919. Here Is the Second Single, Entitled - Come On In.

The Akon assisted track is stunningly standard, it sounds like every song Lloyd has ever put out & just a little bit like every song Sean has ever written. I'm not a hater, but this dude needs to go back to making radio tracks for other artists, because this is not doing it for me.

"Mariah Carey ft. Akon & Lil Wayne - Bye Bye" (Remix)

After I Posted A Jay Z Remix Of Mariah's Latest Single - Bye Bye, I Assumed It Was The Official One. However, Here Is A Brand New Mix Featuring Akon & Lil Wayne.

I'm not feeling it that much, I can see the point of it, obviously Mariah is trying to extend the audience to the Hip-Hop heads, however this is a slow jam R&B number, there is no way it will crossover that well.

From my perceptions, it seems that Mariah's album is not fairing as well as expected, I do think that this was a poor single choice because of the amazing array of tracks on E=MC2. Still, while it may have not achieved the same critical acclaim as 'The Emancipation', I suppose the sales speak for themselves.

"Nelly ft. Akon - Body On Me"

Nelly Is Continuing To Prep His Soon To Be Released New Album - Brass Knuckles.

Another new track, titled Body On Me has surfaced, the Akon assisted slow-jam is real hot, I'm not usually a fan of artists jumping on the Akon band-wagon, but this is a real nice song. I can see this being a single choice, but even if it's not it will be a great addition to Nelly's new album.

I really like Nelly, although he may not be the most 'respectable' rapper, he has real charisma, real talent & can make hot Hip-Pop records, as well as solid album joints. I can't wait to hear Brass Knuckles when it is drops on June 24th.

Note - Has anyone seen Nelly recently? He spends too much time in the gym!
