"N.E.R.D ft. Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco & Pusha T - Everyone Nose" (Remix)

Source - Kanye's Blog

Here Is The Official Remix To N.E.R.D's New Single -Everyone Nose.

While I am really feeling this track, how they can call it a remix is anyone's guess. With new production, completely different versus & a cut up of the hook, it feels like a completely different song.

My first thought was that they shouldn't have scrapped the original production as it was outstanding, but after I got over that & heard amazing flows by Kanye & Lupe, I forgave them. Ye actually put out this version on his blog & he states that this isn't the final mastered version, but it sounds pretty solid to me.

"N.E.R.D - Spaz"

Source - Chris Picks

Skateboard P Seems To Be Back To What He Does, Edgy, Exciting Urban Music.

Spaz is a brand new track that has leaked from N.E.R.D's new album - Seeing Sounds (previously reported as N.3.R.D), it is energetic & exciting. I love the aggressive beats & synths that Pharrell has taken to using, definitely a good look for him.

N.E.R.D are both unappreciated in the form of chart success & by music critics, they are creative, productive & contribute something fresh to a world dominated by bland 'Hip-Pop' & 'teen R&B'.

"Ne-Yo - Trouble"

Do You Want The Good News Or The Bad News?

The bad news is the fact that Ne-Yo's new album - Year Of The Gentleman - has been pushed back from June to August. The good news however, is the fact that I have got a brand new track from the project.

Trouble continues the European-Dance theme from Ne-Yo's recent venture, it is a top quality Pop record with some R&B thrown in for good measure. I absolutely cannot fault this guy on what he is doing, he is showing creativity & textbook artist development, it looks as though that 'difficult third album' maybe ever so easy for Ne-Yo.

"Usher - Trading Places"

As Usher's Highly Anticipated New Album Draws Ever Closer, The Record Continues To Leak Track After Track.

Trading Places is a sultry slow jam, with some well built beats & sexy lyrical content, I really like the guitar burst on the bridge, nice touch. It continues the run of solid songs to leak from Here I Stand, while nothing I have heard so far really matches the brilliance of Confessions, I can't pass judgement until the final article is released.

I have been hearing criticism of Usher's new music, simply because it has little emotional value, due to the fact that he is now happily married, maybe he simply has no more Confessions?

"Cassie - 2 The Morning"

It's (Yet) Another B-Cox Joint..! Cassie Continues The "Accidental Leaks" Of Possible New Tracks From Her Yet Untitled Second Album.

2 The Morning it's more of the same really, another production heavy track with some low level melodies & an overall enjoyable feel. While tracks like this are nice additions to a record, it seems that this is the bulk of the new material from Cassie & it's starting to feel very 'wallpaper' to me.

Still, can't knock it, cool song, very good beats & an easy listen, I fail to see how you could be offended by Cassie? It's just a shame that she can't meet the original expectations that Diddy placed on her.

"Young Jeezy ft. Kanye West - Put On"

Source - Kanye West's Blog

You Ready For Some Fire Right? Here Is The Killer New Single From Young Jeezy.

Put On is a club banger that is sure to be grabbing the limelight on urban radio very soon. The track features Mr Kanye West, as well as being produced by the man himself, he also chose to use an 'autotuner' for the song, but to be fair, it sounds slick.

I have never been an 'album fan' of Jeezy, but I am really feeling this track, as well as his various collaborations over the years. He is a guy that always seems to grab critical acclaim as well as love from fellow artists. While Put On feels very radio friendly, I love it!

"Usher - Flash"

I'm Sure A Lot Of You Guys Are Just As Hyped As I Am About Usher's New Album - Here I Stand. Here Is A New Track That Didn't Make The Cut.

Flash is a bit of an oddity, the production, courtesy of Pharrell, is very mellow & not really fitting to an Usher track IMO. Still, it's a pretty nice cut, Usher times his vocals well with the beat, while not really coming through with the lyrics.

I can see why this track was dropped from the final track listing, but if this was the worst track on the album, then the finished article should sound amazing!. Here I Stand is due for release on the 27th of May.

"Maroon 5 ft. Rihanna - If I Never See Your Face Again"

R&B Beauty Rihanna Has Teamed Up With Pop/Rockers Maroon 5.

If I Never See Your Face Again is a remake of a Maroon 5 track that is present on their album, the track will feature on a re-release of their album, plus the re-released version of Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad.

While this is not really my sort of song, Maroon 5 are a guilty pleasure of mine, & with the added verse from Rihanna, it makes for one hell of a catchy tune. I can see this being a real good collaboration for both parties.

"Usher ft. Beyonce & Lil Wayne - Love In This Club (Part II)"

After The Huge Success Of Usher's Latest Track - Love In The Club, Here Is A New Song Dubbed - Part II.

Beyonce & Lil Wayne have jumped on the track in a strange combination, I can see the King & Queen of R&B joining forces, but Weezy seems a little lost IMO. Still, the track feels more like contemporary R&B over it's Poppy predecessor.

I am really looking forward to Usher's new album, I'm still not a fan of the man, but I love the music. Definitely going to be a hot pick of 2008.

"Fergie - Labels Or Love"

Spotted At - ThatGrapeJuice

Here Is A Brand New Track From The First Lady Of The Black Eyed Peas - Fergie.

Labels Or Love is lifted from the official soundtrack to the highly anticipated 'Sex & The City' movie. The song very pop, but has some nice electronic beats, which sample the recognisable theme tune to the TV show.

This track is also set to feature on the Re-Release of Fergie's album - The Dutchess, while the album was far, far stronger than I expected, did it really need another round? I mean, it's almost two years old now, & you know where I stand on Re-Releases, they rob true fans of their money, there should be some sort of law!

"Mariah Carey ft. Jay Z - Bye Bye" (Remix)

Here Is The Official Remix To Mariah Carey's New Single - Bye Bye. It features long time friend & previous collaborator - Jay Z.

It seems to me, that Mariah's people are trying to bring this track to the clubs, with a new verse from Jay & an adapted, banging beat. It feels unnecessary, as this song was never meant for a club audience, it's an R&B ballad, so I don't really see the need.

"Teairra Mari - No No No"

Spotted At - YBF

Remember Teairra Mari? I Remember Being Promised That She Would Be The 'Princess Of The Roc', then it all went a bit quite.

Well, Miss Mari has been busy readying a new album for her new home record label - Interscope (who are doing big things on the urban scene lately). Teairra now seems to be ready to put out a real album, maybe we should be calling it her début?

No No No is to be her first single from the project, I am unclear who has produced it but the beats are hot, as are the vocals, they 'stream' well together, Teairra is sounding a like a real professional. To me, this market is already flooded, with Beyonce, Kelly, Ciara (etc) all doing there thing, but if Teairra can keep putting out these joints, I think she can muscle her way in.

"Nas - Be A Nigger Too"

Superstar Rapper - Nas Is Readying His Controversial New Album - Nigger.

Here is a new track that has leaked from the project, Be A Nigger Too is overtly 'offensive', so be warned before you go ahead & listen to it. Musically, the track isn't up to much, production is so so & Nas' flow is nice, but that's about it.

Lyrically however, it's a lot to take on, I support Nas in what he is doing, it is blatantly obvious that he is not doing it simply to be controversial but to address some issues. I'm glad that in this day & age of political correctness & lifeless Pop music, there is someone like Nas who has the confidence & originality to try something new & different. More Power To Him!

"Nelly ft. Akon - Body On Me"

Nelly Is Continuing To Prep His Soon To Be Released New Album - Brass Knuckles.

Another new track, titled Body On Me has surfaced, the Akon assisted slow-jam is real hot, I'm not usually a fan of artists jumping on the Akon band-wagon, but this is a real nice song. I can see this being a single choice, but even if it's not it will be a great addition to Nelly's new album.

I really like Nelly, although he may not be the most 'respectable' rapper, he has real charisma, real talent & can make hot Hip-Pop records, as well as solid album joints. I can't wait to hear Brass Knuckles when it is drops on June 24th.

Note - Has anyone seen Nelly recently? He spends too much time in the gym!

"NLT - Karma"

Spotted At - Chris-Picks

NLT (Not Like Them) Are A New R&B/Pop Group Hailing From The USA. Their Sound Is A Mix Of N-Sync & Boyz II Men.

Karma is their brand new single, & while it isn't about to set the world on fire, it does show promise. I have thought for a while now that their is a hole in the market for a male vocal group, but with Diddy's new band Day 26 making waves in the Urban Word. The question begs - will there be enough room for both of them?

I'm all for supporting new artists, so if you do like the track, go buy it, or grab their album, or post it to your site/blog... Just do something constructive, yeah?

"R. Kelly - Touch My Body" (Remix)

"It's The Remix Killer" - Not My Words, But The Words Of R. Kelly On His Remix Of Mariah Carey's - Touch My Body... & Yes, You've Certainly Killed This One Off Kells!

OK, so it's not that bad, R. Kelly serves up some real nice harmonies, his vocal ability has never been questioned by myself. However the track just feels like a bad joint from The-Dream, or something that T-Pain couldn't be bothered to do.

Kell's seems to be determined to drum up some excitement around his new project, tentatively titled - 12 Play Fourth Quarter. I am more excited to see the outcome of his up-coming trial than I am about another egotistical, mediocre album.

"Sway ft. $tush - F Ur X"

For My International Readers, Or Those Who Don't Already Know, Sway DaSafo, (More Commonly Known As Just Sway) Is A UK Hip-Hop Star & Full Time Producer.

To be fair, I'm pretty much jumping on the band wagon on this one, this track has been around for a minute now, but I think it's class. Titled F Ur X (welcome to the UK scene, lol), the track features fellow UK artist - $tush.

The track is self explanatory really, two people arguing over their ex partners, Sway's style shines through to make a catchy, radio friendly track, that has got me hooked. I am more an advocate of the UK R&B scene, but I have always got time for any Brit with talent.

Sway is doing real well for himself, not only does he have a cult following in the UK, he is making his name in the US after recently being signed to Akon's - Konvicted record label. Maybe the UK will have it's own little Jay Z?

"Ne-Yo - Let Just Be"

As Previously Reported - Ne-Yo Is Currently Preparing For The Release Of His Third Studio Album - Year Of The Gentleman.

Let Just Be is rumoured to be an album track from the forthcoming venture, on first listen, it's pretty good. Solid vocals, smooth production & the same, now classic writing style that we have come to expect from the unstoppable Ne-Yo.

From what I have heard of the new new project, Year Of The Gentleman seems to be shaping up to be a really good effort. Ne-Yo has obviously developed well as an artist, this new European sound id really doing it for me.

"Nicole Scherzinger - Rio"

After A Few Solid Singles & Reported Record Company Turmoil, It Seems That The Ill Fated Début Album From Nicole Scherzinger May Have Been Scrapped.

Still, here is another record that has been leaked from the project, Rio is a cover version of Duran Duran's 1982 Pop classic. I'm not sure this would have ever made the final cut anyway, it's pretty poor IMO & doesn't really do justice to the original, it lacks that 'energy' that Duran Duran bought to it.

In a recent interview, Nicole stated that the new Pussycat Dolls album would be released before Her Name Is Nicole & rumours are rife that the album has been scrapped altogether in favour of a revised album from Scherzinger. Whatever the outcome, I think they need to get a move on, Nicole only holds a certain shelf life, she can't be flavour of the month forever!

"Chris Brown - Forever"

Despite My Predictions, It Seems That Chris Brown Is Continuing The Single Releases For His Current Album - Exclusive.

Forever is set to be the next record, lifted from the "Forever Edition" of the album (not too crazy on the name). Still, the track is a nice addition, it's European dance floor feel adds a new dimension to Chris' sound & I'm sure it will be another hit.

My personal favourite from Chris' album is the Kanye West aided - Down, this is rumoured to also be ready for release in the charts, I think this one will be much more successful. As far as the 'Re-Release' thing goes, it annoys the hell out of me, if a record is not ready, or it needs more tracks, don't put it out! It only robs real fans of their money!
