Estelle was recently at the centre of rumours around her appearance, apparently her record company thought that she wasn't picture perfect enough to be successful in the US market. I only hope that this is not a result of pressure being put on her, Estelle is quoted as saying:

"I've been wanting braces since I was 20. This was a me thing."

Not that I know Estelle personally, but she always appears to be a very strong individual, so I don't believe that anyone could make her change her look unless she wanted to do it. Anyway, I'm always in favour of some self improvement.

This is a real favourite of mine of off a very solid album, the record is a little less Grimy than I would have liked, but it's fantastic to see Estelle use her soulful vocals to push her music forward. I heard her on UK radio recently, she was saying how Lauryn Hill is not her idol, she is more in touch with Mary J. Blige, & it really shows.

The video for No Substitute Love is real nice, I like the look, the concept & I always love Estelle's style, however, what in the name of God is she doing wearing that pink dress? P-lease, if I wanted to see boobs, I would be checking a Nicole Scherzinger video, let's just hope she burns that outfit.

Here Is A Hot UK Remix Of Taio Cruz's Current Single - I Can Be. It Features 'Your Girl Estelle' & I Am Really Liking It.


I only have one bone to pick with people over this song & by posting it I'm being a hypocrite because I don't think this track is urban. I hate to say it, but someone has to, if N-Sync had made this track, the urban community would spit on it, just because a track has a couple of kick drums, it doesn't make it R&B.

But, don't get me wrong, I really like this track even if it is a Pop record, & Estelle's added verse really opens it up to that more urban audience. I really never plugged this album either, it is a real good look for Taio, there honestly is not a bad song on the whole record, if you haven't grabbed a cope yet, you really will not be disappointed.

According To Reports Surfacing Today, The Queen Of UK Hip-Hop Soul - Estelle Is Under Pressure To Get Surgery!

Her US record label; Atlantic, have stated that Estelle needs to lose her image, fix her teeth & have a full make over. Check the report below lifted from Digital Spy.

US label Atlantic Records wants Estelle to have surgery on her teeth to help her break into the American charts, say reports.

Her bosses also want her to ditch the boyish haircut she has in her 'American Boy' video and would like to give her image a complete overhaul, according to The Sun.

"The American executives are adamant she makes a lot of significant changes," said a source. "They want rid of her tomboy hair and want her to get her teeth fixed.

"Estelle is not happy. She feels her teeth and the rest of her look are a big part of her character."

The R&B star has spent the last three weeks at number one on the UK singles chart.

While I am a firm believer in 'personal improvement', in my opinion, there is more chance of Soulja Boy having a critically acclaimed album than Estelle listening to this ish! She has always had her own style, image, character, attitude & personality since she came on the music scene years ago, here in the good old UK.

Also, has no one ever noticed that Estelle is mad fashionable, that girl has got some style, I hope she tells them where to stick their new image! Keep your head up 'stelle

Here Is The New Video From UK's Finest - Estelle, With Her Current Single - American Boy.

I have been anticipating Estelle's new album; Shine, for some time now, & with this track doing it's thing, that anticipation only grows. I'm loving this song so much & now the video adds to the style of the track.

This is a real change in direction for Estelle, she has moved one from her earlier street feel, to a more polished, professional sound, reflecting her time on American shores. Kanye's part in this song is amazing, I love the fact that he put on a British accent & uses the very English word - Rubbish!

Estelle is looking fresh to death in this video, she has wicked style & sound that may make her a huge UK export to the USA. I also laugh at the fact that no US lyric site knows what Estelle says before Kanye's rap - 'Tell 'Em What Gwan Blud'.
