All The Chris Brown Groupies Are About To Get A New Idol. Mishon (That Is His Real Name) Is A Rising Young Singer/Actor Who Has Just Released Debut Single Excuse Me Mama. Mishon Who Is 15 Released His First Album At 10 Years Old, Is A Regular Cast Member On TV Show Lincoln Heights, Has Appeared In A Commercial For Nike & On Top Of That Done Voice Over Work For Akeelah & The Bee As Well As A Minor Role Opposite Ben Stiller In The Heartbreak Kid. Well Well Well World Domination It Is I Guess. His Album Titled Mishon The Yearbook Has No Official Release Date Yet. Anyway Check Out The Video Which Also Features 15 Year Old Singer/Actress Keke Palmer As His Love Interest.
He's only been around a minute and Mishon has already got many comparisons to Chris Brown as they both sing and dance and Mishon sounds a bit like Chris. Well I think the lyrics are corny but if i was 15 I would probably love him. The production is good but nothing distinctive.
This is the part where I say something really cliche...that kid is gonna go real far!
Introducing Pop/R&B Singer Shontelle With Debut Single T- Shirt. Right Some Of You May Have Heard Of Her Or Not But Her Video Has Been Receiving Major Hits On YouTube. Shontelle Is Friends With Another Well Known Singer Rihanna & Is Also From Barbados. There Is No Release Date Yet ForHer Debut Album Shontilligence. Wow.
Well the songs OK. It seems like it was intended for Rihanna though but she turned it down. As a singer Shontelle sounds a bit like Jordin Sparks or maybe it's just this song. Either way you can get the latest on Shontelle here. I'm not a major fan of pop/r&b I guess it shows. It's all love out here though.
It's Been On A Long Hiatus, But I Finally Got Round To Introducing You To Some New Talent. Natalia Is A Singer/Songwriter From The UK, Perfect Day Is Her Latest Effort & Is Making A Few Waves On Radio.
Firstly, I am not a fan of PR companies forwarding me a load of old crap & expecting me to post it but Natalia's people sent me a good old fashioned CD, so that got me to listen straight away. I'm not usually a fan of this "happy-clappy" kind of music, but there is a touch of Summer about this tune & I like it.
Perfect Day simply describes that one day that everything goes your way, I thought it was really different as artists love to bring you some sadness & pain in their tunes, especially R&B ones. But Natalia has done a solid job in cheering me up. A total breathe of fresh air.
Natalia's debut album - All Of Me, is due for release next January, she is set to perform with Lemar, Kano & Jay Sean over the coming weeks & also has a "Perfect Day" inspired Blouse in the Oxford Circus Topshop Store.
I Hope You Are Ready For Some More Top UK Music. Because We Are Introducing - Tinie Tempah With Tears, Which Is Already Gaining Momentum In The UK.
Tinie Tempah is just 19, which makes me feel extremely unsuccessful being the same age, anyway I digress. Since the age of 16 Tinie has been doing his own thing & making his own tunes, he released a track with promotional help from Sony for their Playsation Portable, the track was called Listen To The Vibe & I remember hearing it because it had a fellow British artist called DJ Ironic as a featuring artist.
Tears features another UK artist called Cleo Sol & to be honest, is a mammoth of a UK tune, this is going to be so big over here. It has key properties that ensure UK Urban success, the 'squeaky' background vocals, huge Bassline style production from Davinci & the fact that the song is about a girl. Done!
If this is not a hit in the UK, I will eat someone's hat, I really love this song & will be banging it out of my iPhone for a good few weeks to come. An nice addition is the well choreographed video, I like the fact it has a story line & not loads of people in Hoodies bobbing their heads, which is the norm for this sort of tune.
A Long Wait & A Very Welcome Return For Introducing, Which Is Once Again Worming Out Some Great Talent From The United Kingdom. This Double Edition Features UK Producer Diamond & Singer Terri Walker With Their Hot New Single -Love At First Sight.
First up is Diamond, a 24 year old Producer hailing from London, his style incorporates 'House Music' with the modern UK Urban Sound, to create something that you can bounce to. Love At First Sight is his first official track from his new, as yet untitled album.
Diamond has teamed up with UK R&B Star - Terri Walker. Terri is an Eclectic singer/songwriter who was born in London & grew up not far from where I live. She got her 'big break' when she was signed to the UK section of Def-Jam, she released 2 critically acclaimed albums, but received little commercial success. Now she is back on her feet & doing new things with new people.
Love At First Site is a record with a chilled House sound & a solid vocal offering from Terri, it is obviously Diamonds production skills that are on show here. But both parties do a nice job of pulling off a cut that is not only a Funky record, but a radio ready banger.
Welcome To Another Exciting Edition Of Introducing, This Week It Features Super Stylish Norwegian Band - Madcon, With Their Fresh New Single - Beggin'.
Madcon(short for Mad Conspiracy) are already stars in their native Norway, they have appeared on the country's alternative to Dancing With The Stars & also host their very own TV show. Now they have set their sites on storming the rest of Europe with the new sound of Beggin'.
The track is real hot, it combines a soulful freshness with solid vocals & an all round new age sound, it's so cool to hear some new influences on a music scene that is so full of 'Blah' at the moment. The video has been shot & both video & song are receiving significant airplay here in the UK.
Let's hope this kind of sound can continue to flourish in Britain, I for one am so sick of the dreary guitar bands that dominate & suffocate a creative young market. More power to Madcon!
Jazmine Sullivan Is The Feature Of The Next Instalment Of Introducing, Urban Review's Attempt To Get Some New Talent Noticed.
While this track is a little old, I expected it to be a lot bigger than it actually was, so I thought I would bring it to the attention of your critical ears.
Need U Bad is the first single to be lifted from Jazmine's début album - Fearless, it was produced by & features Missy Elliott, it shows off something that is rare in this day & age, soul. I doubt I am the first to say this, nor will I be the last, Sullivan has that distinctive singing style of the legendary Lauryn Hill.
The fact hat this lady has been singing since the age of 5 fills me with confidence that she really sings from the heart, rather than for the huge amount of money that is sure to come her way. I wish there were more artist out there that can produce soulful music like this, support it!
As alwas, the point of this feature is you, because without your comments or ratings then the record company don't get feedback, which means talented artists may slip through the net. So make sure you take a minute to leave a comment so I can pass it on for you. Thanks.
Izza comes care of the worlds greatest producer - Timbaland, he is a new-ish signing to his Mosley Music Group record label & in my opinion, is the one the best Hip-Hop artists out there. His amazing lyrical flow is backed with some jaw dropping production, this guy raps from the heart, mind & soul, he continues to impress me with each new track I hear.
Hello is a new track to appear on Izza's Myspace & will be included on his new mixtape - Kizzaland, while it is not the strongest track I have heard from this guy, it's still respectably strong in my eyes. I recommend that you cehck his Myspace & listen to some other tunes, this guy is honestly amazing & I haven't even been contacted by his management to say this, as they didn't reply to my email! Tut!
The best comparisons I can make for Izza is perhaps a mix of Timbo & Outkast... The outcome is outstanding.
Finally, It's Only Taken About Half The Year (lol), But I ave Collected Together Some Promising Artists For You Guys To Rate, Under The Banner Of - Introducing.
The first of many UK artists that will be up for your opinion is Low Deep, a 21 year old rapper & producer who already has a following among the UK Grime scene. From the few tracks I have heard, I was impressed by the way he has composed Grime MCs with R&B sounds, the melodies accompany the sometimes harsh beats really well.
His new single - Tell Me, features Joci & Ruff Squad & is taken from his album - Unsung, which is due for release in the UK on the 28th of July. It will feature collaborations from UK heavyweights including Ghetto & Asher D.
All I want from you guys is your opinion on his single - Tell Me - using this track alone, do you think he is Hot Or Not? You can use the star rating at the bottom of the post, or drop me a comment.
LISTEN - Low Deep - Tell Me(Link Removed At Request Of Management)
