"Nas ft. Keri Hilson - Hero" (Video)

Here's What You Been Waiting For! The Video For Nas' Brand New Joint - Hero, Featuring The Gorgeous Keri Hilson.

Let's not get mistaken, in my opinion, Hero is the biggest track in the world right now. Polo's mad hot production is on-point enough to rival Timbo the king himself, mixed with the masterful, lyrical content of Nas & the sugary sweet vocals of Keri, make for a monster in MP3 form.

Nas - Hero

The video is as expected, staying dead in the centre to get the airplay it deserves, I totally see why Nas decided not to make the video for Hero controversial, this is about style & skill. It delivers well & without trying to over shadow an excellent song, I honestly can't portray how much this song rocks.

Nas Interview In Spin Magazine

Urban Review Has Taken A Sneak Peek At July's Issue Of Spin Magazine. It Contains An Interview With Controversial Rapper - Nas.

He speaks candidly with Spin about key issues, including the much talked about title of his album, which he changed from Nigger to simply, Untitled.

"It was a matter of deciding between changing the name or skipping the major retail outlets I knew wouldn't carry the record and just selling it through my website and stores that had balls. L.A. Reid and I had a conversation -- I enlightened him and he enlightened me, and he was with me. But I want as many people as possible to hear this, and it was going to be a messy battle that was going to distract from what the album had to say."
"I called the record Nigger, with the "er," to create a dialogue. You can't just say, "Why are rappers using this word?" You gotta stick around to find out."

Originally, I commended Nas for the title of his album, it was obvious that he would back it up with amazing material. Secondly, I was angry that he decided to remove the title, but now I see why he did it, & suppose he is right, people will always know the real title.

"Nas - Be A Nigger Too" (Video)

The Video For Nas' New Single - Be A Nigger Too, Has Premièred, All 8 Minutes Of It.

I said it when I featured this track a while back & I will say it again, this dude can back up his album titles with feeling & substance, so why did he bow under pressure & change the name of the record?

Nas - Be A Nigger Too

Be a Nigger Too is an extremely race related track, it's lyrics are hard hitting & brilliant, who else could use the phrase 'Chink-Nigger' & pull it off. I salute a man that can use his intellect to put a message across & doesn't give a damn what people say. A man that can fill Hip-Hop records with solidarity is some sort of Genius in my eyes.

The video for the track is on-point, it really drives home the message of the song, it is artistic without feeling distant, a proper triumph for Nas in my opinion.

"Nas 'Untitled'" (Album Cover)

Here Is The Official Album Cover For Nas' New Album; Formerly & Controversially Titled - Nigger.

As most will already know, Nas bowed to pressure & changed the original title, but as a step of defiance to his critics, he has left the album untitled. I am surprised that Nas didn't stick to the original title, it's never a good look to make a bold statement then withdraw it, especially as I'm sure he would have brought forward material to justify the title.

As you can see, Nas is definitely continuing the controversial theme with the album cover, with the obvious N on his back, the marks meant to look like 'whip lashes'. Nas has also stated that although he has removed the original title; "People Will Always Know What The Real Title Is".
